I need the whole speech in addition to the powerpoint presentation.
What am I required to do in this assignment?
You are required to select and analyse two existing
Fintech
companies (in any subsector) that have raised at
least one round of capital. Revolut vs Monzo.
You need to argue why you think one of the two
companies will be successful (and
possibly a disruptor) in the long term and why you think
the other company will be a failure
(where failure could mean, for example, closing
down, defaulting, failure to raise new capital,
failure to grow, etc…).
In both instances you are required to use current
and live markets conditions in
assessing the business models, the strengths, the
threaths, the potential risks, and the benefits of
the two chosen companies.
You will be given approximately 30 minutes for the
presentation.
What do I need to do to pass?
Threshold criteria i.e. achievement of the learning
outcome at the pass/fail boundary
Teamwork and Presentation Skills 25%
Innovation Choice Analysis and Justification 50%
Valuation Assumptions and Calculations 25%
How do I produce high quality work that merits a
70% or above grade?
On the reasoning behind the success and failure of
the Fintech ideas be bold and visionary.
On the analysis side: try to use numbers,
valuations, and market statistics to describe the
businesses and their potential futures.
How does assignment relate to what we are doing in
the scheduled sessions?
The scheduled sessions present case studies and
real-life Fintech examples. Some of them
are (or were) successes and others failures. If you
aim to be an entrepreneur, or to work in
PEVC understanding what makes a failure is as (or
more!) important than understanding
what makes a success.
