PROMPT: Develop an analysis of a major character from a single film screened for

History

Important - Read this before proceeding

These instructions are based on a task we've worked on previously. If you're looking for an answer to the same assignment, you'll need to submit an order on our writers' platform to receive a unique paper that you can confidently present as your own work. Read our "How It Works" page for more information.

PROMPT:
Develop an analysis of a major character from a single film screened for our
Second Unit. Your “character analysis” should explore motivation (i.e. what
makes this
character do what they do?), turning points (i.e. when and why are goals realized and pursued by this character?), visual style (i.e. how is the character dressed, captured by the camera, etc?) and historical significance (i.e. what does this character represent in the scope of national history?).
Film choice:
Small Axe: Red, White, and Blue (2020, on Amazon Prime)
Starring: John Boyega
Character based on real life person: Leroy Logan
The following is some writing I did to help lead you in the right path
(don’t have to organize it the way I did but definitely need to answer everything in the prompt):
Intro: Based on the real life story of the former police officer, Red, White and Blue from Battle Axe explores the real life story of Leroy Logan as he joins the police force in the U.K.
Paragraph talking about who he is in beginning-as a person
-The question begins to arise. Why join the same institution that grossly harmed his own father. This is a question his father has for him throughout the film.
Paragraph talking about technical aspects how is the character shown through the camera-include wardrobe
Paragraph talking about historical context-when does this take place-why is this
important
Other ideas:
-On top of being beaten byt cops, his father is possibly scared for his son to
become just like the racist cops that hurt him. He wants his son to be okay which is why he hates that he joined
-scene where someone rights a racial slur on Leroy’s locker and he doesn’t know who did it and gets incredibly upset. He says something along the lines of “next time you want to call me this, DO IT WHILE I’M FUCKING HERE! YOU FUCKING PUSSIES”. He is mad at the slur and mad the whoever it is is hiding-much like the police hide how racist they are. He hates thr system
-“if you are the big tree, we are the small axe, sharpenned to cut you down” what could this
represent in the context of the film
camera, etc?) and historical significance (i.e. what does this character represent in the scope of
national history?)
